German site, monkeyBread Software has many free downloads (donation-ware) that offer some of the extra features you get when you buy Quicktime Pro, as well as other great utilities and power-tools.
While most of the software is for Mac, there is quite a bit of it out there for Windows as well. One of the best is the Full Screen Movie Player for Quicktime Movies. While the website has some great Quicktime extras, they also have some other power-tools that should have been included in Windows and Mac. My favorite from them is theTreeSizefile listing program.
